THE STORY OF A POOR WIDOW AND HER THREE CHILDREN

I was called today by Mr. Ghana and he introduced this woman by name Elizabeth Kwofie. Elizabeth Kwofie gave birth to a twin of two girls by name Agnes and Rebecca who are 9 months old.

She fell sick after given birth to these children and as a result of that lost a lot of blood. At the moment she cannot breast feed the children because there are no breast milk in her breast. She lost the husband 5 months ago and has another boy of 9 years old who does not attend school.

This lady came to the Social Welfare to be helped and she was referred to us.

Now we are trying to register the children under Health Insurance so that they can have medical care because the children are really malnourished and if care is not taken we will lose the children.

I have attached the pictures of the family and there is the need to help.

I have decided to send them food tomorrow and later see what help we can offer them.
